March has traditionally been a busy month for women in beer as many breweries either release or brew their Pink Boots annual collaboration brew for International Women’s Day. While PBS is now promoting a year-round approach to these collab brew days, we still want to celebrate women in the fermentation industry for Women’s Month. So join us for a special social where our featured beverage is beer AND we’ll screen the documentary “Women Who Brew: Breaking the Glass Ceiling for the Love of Beer”. Afterward, if there’s interest, we’ll stick around for a discussion of the documentary. Grab your favourite beer, pop some popcorn, and cozy up for movie night! Please note that this event will be scheduled for two hours to accommodate the film and discussion. Movie running time is 72 minutes.

We’re continuing with our monthly socials that highlight a special beverage. We’ll provide recipes or suggestions, but feel free to join us with or without a drink; we just want to see you! Socials will last about an hour and are purely for fun. This is a great way to meet other PBS Canada members who are near and far. Our beverage for February is Cider! A fermented beverage made from apple juice, it can be sweet or dry and it’s almost always tasty. Find a local cider and join us for some social time!
